    New Website!!!

    Friday, November 30th, 2007

In case you haven’t noticed my new website it up and running.  Drop me a line and tell me how you like it! :)

In honor of the new site I’m going to be offering a discount very soon.  It might be after christmas though.  I know we are super busy for the rest of the month so I’m sure everyone else is as well.  Keep watching and reading and the announcement for my website grand opening special will be coming!!!

    Post Turkey Day!

    Monday, November 26th, 2007

I am so sick of turkey it’s not even funny!!!  We had 3 Thanksgiving dinners this week, which were all GREAT, but I don’t want to see turkey on the menu for a while!!

Our weekend was really nice, spending time with family we don’t see often enough.  The kids all had fun too and everyone enjoys seeing them.  They are quite the entertainers :)

I just submitted my request to go live on my new website, so be looking for it.  It has a shopping cart included with it so for anyone who doesn’t want an in person proofing/ordering session that is an option for them.  I’m really excited about it and hope you all love it.

In honor of my new website I will be announcing a special discount (to be determined) for my new grand opening.  The announcement will be in the next week or so.  I’m not exactly sure when the site will go live yet.  I’ll also be sending out e-mails when it comes out just to make sure I didn’t miss anyone ;)

We did our family pictures this weekend for our cards.  It was fun.  I can’t share them yet until the cards are finished and sent to everyone.  So it will be a while yet until you get to see them.  I wanted to do a family picture this year b/c we haven’t done one in a while and I was NOT looking forward to doing it.  It was just one of those things where trying to get 3 kids and your husband all smiling and looking at the camera seemed impossible.  We set up the backdrop, tripod and set the timer hoping for the best.  It turned out great, way better than I expected.  M was so darn cute.  She kept laughing and looking at the blinking light on the camera while the timer was running.  She thought it was the greatest thing!  She even cried when we were all done.  Shocked I know.  Usually the kids run from the camera.  We even managed to get so nice of a family pic I ordered one BIG 20×20 for the living room.  It will also be good to show clients other sizes besides um… 8×10!!  That’s my most sold size and I’m trying to convince people that if you are going to put something on the wall then it at least needs to be 11×14.  These things take time though!!!

Anyway the huge amount of laundry in the basement is calling my name very loudly, so I best be getting to it.  It’s amazing how many clothes 5 people go through in a few days of vacation.

Hope all is well and you all enjoyed your Holiday!  29 Days till Christmas!!!

    Sleeping beauty!

    Sunday, November 18th, 2007

It’s super late but I just had to post these. I went in and checked on M and I was right she was on the floor (see previous post). Her room was pitch black so excuse the bad composition. I couldn’t even see her in the viewfinder ;)

    M sleeping on the floor

    Asleep on the floor!!

And this is C from last week, showing off his firedog hat he made in school.

    Tough week.

    Saturday, November 17th, 2007

So this past week was rough.  My little guy L came down with the stomach bug Monday night.  He didn’t stop throwing up until Wednesday night.  It was awful.  I was sick as well all day Tuesday.  By the end of Wed L was just limp on the floor from being so weak.  He’s bounced back though now.  It’s doesn’t take much for little one’s to catch back up to what they lost.  I’m so glad.  It was hard seeing him like that.  I’m feeling much better now and I’m praying that no one else in the family get it.

M has been climbing out of her crib for the past few days and I’m pretty sure that she’s asleep on the floor in her room right now.  I feel so bad about that but J must have put her back in at least 5 times.  She climbs out and toddles out into the living room carrying her blankie just smiling.  It’s so adorable.  As soon as she see’s J coming she starts crying.  I have to let him do it though b/c I just can’t take it.  I would let her sit with me all night if she wanted to.  I’m soft I know.  I’ll check on her in a bit and maybe I can get a picture with out waking her.

On to business news, since that’s what this blog is actually for!!! LOL :)   The deadline is past for anyone to do Holiday Sessions that include cards but… good news… you can still get a session done if you just need prints for Christmas presents!  I have a few more openings for that and a few for the rest of the year for just regular photo session.

I still am looking for more maternity and newborn sessions.  I seriously loved doing the last newborn session I did and would totally just specialize in that if I could but alas there are bills to pay!!!  Even if you don’t want a maternity session call me and I will set you up for an in home newborn session.  It’s fun going into client’s homes and using their furniture etc.  Makes it easier on you and the baby.  I also have been setting up my backdrops in clients homes as well.  So that’s something to think about if you don’t want to get everyone dressed and out the door I can bring your session to you!!!

    That’s all for now. Night.
