Did some fun shots with L & M today while I was playing around with my new equipment. Just thought I would share what I got.

I’m going to be at the Bridal Show that the Lowville Chamber of Commerce is hosting this Feb 2, 2008.  I’m getting my samples and brochures ready to go.  I believe this is the 2nd year they have done this and they are predicting a better turn out each year:)  There will be a lot of really cool vendors there, not just myself   such as Sunnycrest Flowers, and Florence Lyndaker (cake maker).  Sunnycrest’s owner did my wedding flowers as well as she is a member of my extended family.  Florence did my wedding cake too and I buy my kids birthday cakes from her every year.  She does an awesome job!!

I’m looking forward to getting myself out there for more weddings.  I hope to do a bunch of them this summer and am already on my way to booking quite a few so far!

The show is at the Lowville Elks Lodge, Lowville NY 13367 on Feb 2, 2008 from 10am-3pm.  See you there!!!

Don’t forget that starting Jan 1, 2008 through Jan 31, 2008 the session fee will be $20 off.  Sessions have to be booked in the month of January for the discount to be valid.

I’m also offering something new for 2008.  From now on when you meet with me for your custom proofing/ordering appointment you will be able to see first hand how your images look in print.  I will be showing 4×6 spiral bound proof books for each session.  They will be available to take home and keep with every $350 order!!!  I did a sample one of these for my wedding clients and they are just so cute!

Portrait parties are in the works as well.  I will start offering these to clients in Feb 2008.  Right now I’m looking for someone who is willing to be a host/hostess.   How does it work do you ask?  Well the host/hostess is in charge of inviting no more than 8 family units.  Each family will have a 15-20 minute session schedules within a 2 hour period.  The host/hostess chooses the place which for winter would probably be their home but summer could be a park etc.  The hostess will receive a discount on their session from the party based on the amount of total sales.  There will be no session fee and no minimum order.  It’s a good way to get that family picture done without booking a full session.  I will be only booking 1-2 of these per month so if you think it’s something you would be interested in please give me a call at 315.376.0167 and we can start scheduling.

Lowville New York needs something different and I think portrait parties could be the in thing!!!!  I’m really excited about it and I hope to get all the details in order very soon.

Oh my goodness you should all see my living room!!!!  It looks like a tornado hit it.  Of course C is home from school all this week and the kids are going crazy with toys!!!  We had such a blast watching them open everything up.  Out children were very spoiled this year and I feel very blessed.  Now to find a place in our tiny house to put everything!!!

For those of you who do not know it is ILLEGAL to copy pictures that do not belong to you.  It’s also just not nice.  That goes for any pictures that you don’t hold the copyright for including Mine, Walmart, Sears etc.  Just don’t do it ok.  I love to share my pictures with you all but it just takes all the fun out of it and makes me really sad to find out that people are stealing them.
