I just wanted to do a tiny PSA about some of my prices.  I received some updates from my suppliers that they are raising their prices.  Seems everyone has been having to do that lately with the way the economy is.  Unfortunately that means I have to change my pricing as well.  So if you happen to notice different pricing than you did a few days ago that’s why.   I feel bad about it really but can’t afford to absorb the costs myself.

As a reminder though I am offering the $50 print credit for sessions in January to help offset some of the costs that keep rising.

For anyone who did not get my December newsletter and know this already I wanted to let you know that I’m giving a $50 print credit for any sessions that take place in January.  You can book them now but they have to be done in January.

My session fee is $65 so you will get $50 of that back towards any prints of your choice.  *Prints only, no storyboards, canvas etc. apply.

I also wanted to let you know that I am taking the next few weeks off for the Holiday’s.  I have one more Session tomorrow and then not anymore availability until January!  However just because I am taking a few weeks of vacation I will still answer emails and inquiries so YOU CAN STILL BOOK sessions for the next few weeks.

I did a session today for a family who just adopted the most beautiful little girl!  It was their first session as a family and I was honored to be a part of it.  She was a bit camera shy and I walked away from it worried that I didn’t get a thing.  But… from what you can see below I think the new Mom & Dad will be happy!  How could they not with such a cutie as the subject.  Congrats again R & T!  I’m so happy for you that you finally got your baby!

This is how we started. I always try and get the family shots done first and out of the way. When kids first get to me they are usually in a happy mood. Then later when they are tired of it I just do my best to try and get what I can of them individually.

Then I start in on the shots of just the little one. At this point she was getting smart and would look at me and smile but as soon as I lifted the camera to take a picture she would look away or put her head down. So cute! LOL I still got this one though.

Her mom and dad have amazing taste in clothes. Look at this little outfit. Soo adorable!

When you get to this point in the session you pretty much know that it’s time to call it a day! LOL

This age is a ton of hard work and kills my back as I sit on the floor with them the whole time but Wow to meet these little people,  it’s totally worth it!  I had a great time and am looking forward to finishing going through the rest of the session this weekend.

I know the economy has been bad lately.  I’ve had quite a few cancellations and just not been as busy as I usually am this time of year.

To try and combat that as well as to try and lighten the load for potential clients I want to offer a $50 print credit for any sessions that take place in January 2009.  You can book them now but they have to take place in January.

My session fee is $65 so with the print credit more than half of your session fee will be put toward prints.

Something else to look forward to…

During the winter months of 2009 I’m going to try and offer one special discount per month.  My new studio will be done hopefully by the end of January just in time for February’s special!  I can hardly wait.  It’s going to be so awesome to have a dedicated studio space in Lowville NY…  that is all my own and i don’t have to share it with my kids LOL

I will be doing an open house special probably in February.  So keep and eye out!
